16 Be joyful always, 17 pray at all times, 18 be thankful in all circumstances. This is what God wants from you in your life in union with Christ Jesus.
We are to be thankful for all things – negative experiences as well as positive ones, in sickness and health, in poverty and wealth, in prison and freedom, when people love us and when they hate us. This is what God wants from you.
