PSALM 51:5-7
5 I have been evil from the day I was born; from the time I was conceived, I have been sinful. 6 Sincerity and truth are what you require; fill my mind with your wisdom. 7 Remove my sin, and I will be clean;wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.
Little children may be adorable, but they’ve also inherited their parents’ sinful nature. As they grow up, this sinful nature might cause serious damage. However, when God intervenes in such a life, he brings with him understanding of the things he requires of us. He shows us truth and gives us wisdom. He demonstrates our need for forgiveness and, through Christ, offers forgiveness.
