It is an awesome privilege to be called by God as the Senior Pastor of Commitment. You are a remarkable group of people that I am honored to call my Family in the Lord. As you know we are not perfect people, nevertheless we are in hot pursuit of our perfect Lord who is able to perfect the work He has begun in us. In addition, if you are reading this document and haven’t yet joined or consider this local Church Family we are all honored to play a small role within the work of God in your life. Now, this being said, there is a daunting task that is before us all, the “Making of Disciples” – men, women and children who are ready to faithful live for and serve others for God!

Matthew 28:19-20 reminds us: “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Nestled within these verses we uncover a seemingly overwhelming and insurmountable responsibility. Yet, we also find hope. Christ’s promise which says: “…I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Therefore, the “Making” of Disciples can realistically be accomplished in and through Christ alone! From this posture of trust in the power of Christ we have assembled our very own “Disciple Making Process”. Its content emerges from our Vision Statement which is:

“To become a Church where all races and cultures worship, love, grow, and serve as one through the love of Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit.”
This calling, purpose and destiny placed upon our Church Family is truly foreseeable as we collectively take tangible steps towards fulfilling the “greatest” commission given to God’s people. Simply put, we must remain a Church that is actively “Making Disciples” – a people who are ready for whatever God has created and called them to do!

So, included within this document I have attempted to summarize what God has affirmed through your Elders as our “Disciple Making Process”. I hope and pray that you find it to be a great benefit in your personal pursuit of becoming a Disciple of our Lord Jesus Christ.

It is truly a pleasure serving with you,
Pastor Cedrick
